Tom offers a rare breadth of corporate, marketing, sales and operations experience and expertise.
Founder and Principal
Tom has more than 20 experience in sales and marketing in both domestic and international markets, for multinational and start-up companies. Tom started his career in Marketing at CardScan where he worked his way up from Graphic Designer to Director of Marketing.
After being acquired by Newell Rubbermaid in 2005, Tom lead the sales and marketing efforts throughout the world for the CardScan brand.
He later moved to Carbonite where he was Director of Brand Development and Communications.
As Vice President of Demand Generation and Business Development at The Corporate Marketplace, Tom lead a team of inside sales and field reps as well as the marketing team. This is where his passion for strong marketing and sales alignment exploded.
Since launching Tom Stearns Consulting, Tom has worked with mid-size growth and companies and enterprises. He's trained and coached hundreds of reps and dozens of managers and leaders. He's become a sales wonk with a passion for the big picture down to the minute details in sales outreach.
Tom has consulted to Lenovo, 3Play Media, 360insights, Resolver, Firmex, athenahealth, SITA, and AT&T to name a few. A graduate of Saint Anselm College, Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, cum laude.
